In an age where everything is instant, immediate and accessible it’s no great surprise that fashion is forever taking new forms and reaching to ever increasing height beams in order to grab attention create crazes and trends and ultimately make their fashion mark.

With tumblr, pinterest and digg just a click away. (Don’t even get us started on Google + = in LOVE) it’s fun free and easy. Quick and ever so satisfying. There’s nothing that goes down better with your ‘good morning’ coffee than a quick little post here on pinterest or having a gander at the WIWT crew or checking out the latest make up looks, this of course is all made possible by quick ,easy and effortless photography.



 

Photography is one of my all time passions, more appreciation than active spectatorship- Iphone and Ipad photos capture the moment be it love, passion or happiness. The world of fashion has become a better place since the introduction of Social Media into our everyday lives. We’re able to dive behind the scenes following things from the start to the very finish from the ideas board to the front row of LFW.

Creativity in the fashion world is flowing more than Jamal at SBTV drops bars. It’s that serious. Although there is a serious side of fashion especially haute couture or highly publicised brands and websites. Social media has given an outlet to stores like us at 31B Store to meet new fashionistas, share ideas and let the good times roll, show that fashion has a real face and is made up of real people.

 In essence it’s about being down with the kids. Accessible anywhere at anytime.

Urban photography and video really captures my creative attention for 31B Store. The idea of showcasing not just a pair of leggings but a look, feel and emotion just blows my mind perhaps it’s because I’m ‘arty’ When you look at magazines such as teen vogue or most recently cosmopolitan featuring Vanessa Hudgen their attention to detail is remarkable. Showcasing things in finite detail, styled to the hilt and ready to rock. 

I like things to tell a story, provoke emotion and their captivating photos certainly do the trick, 31B’s are more grunge and industry inspired using real people in our videos and photos. The less airbrushing the better, let inner beauty radiate and shine through I say! With the final piece in my hands the best way to share with you all is via the power of the Internet.

The striking animal inspired print is back once again to make a statement this spring season. As a key block print piece leopard print is versatile to dress up or down, wear head to toe or simply add in as an attention drawing accessory.
 Print can be a daunting and garish addition to your wardrobe, yet a well rewarding piece or collection.  Style in a mix of accessories with block print trousers, play, pick and mix and master what looks good on you and suits your personality.
 Hint: With loud printed trousers use a demure block print clutch to complete and round off the outfit, a cluttered and clumpy contradicting printed or alternative coloured bag will not allow you to look your very best.  

  These leggings are the bees knees, they are slouch, comfy and bang on trend - What more could you want!? They're a bargain and just one size as they stretch and fit all. Fantastic. Job done.

 Not long ago pretty lace and cute little dresses graced the fashion scene with their floral patterns, and pretty colour palettes, now fashion is going ugly with a Grunge, Rocker, Masculine approach to style and fashion never before have you been able to throw on all things baggy, half of it not even your own pull it all together and pronounce “This Is An Outfit”  

  As my boyfriend is about to discover this new age fashion trend for spring 2013 is just a fantastic excuse for girls to be lazy and to borrow that oversized Iron Fist tee that will just look epic with a leather skater skirt and hi-hi T.U.K creepers and not to mention that new neck chocker.... ooo the imagination runs wild.

    

 The ‘Boyfriend’ trend has been easing its way back onto the scene for a while now, sneaking in with the return of the 90’s dungarees and then the girls who wear boys tops.  Grunge blew up and now it’s a case of anything goes. It’s fun. It’s fashion. I’m so ready to just rip open my wardrobe and throw every tee I own on with a pair of baggy boyfriend jeans = outfits done for about a month my collection of Iron Fist tees is just incredible and ridiculous at the same time. However back to the point.. Sid and Nancy springs to mind, with some old trainers of plimmies.

UK brand Lynsey Luu has finally landed at 31B Store. Our aim is to showcase and share with the world as many great Indie brands and labels as possible and we’re so pleased that Lynsey Luu has finally arrived!

So what inspires these weird and wonderful creations?

As a UK designer Lynsey is inspired by the most randomest of things Loud, Proud & Brilliantly Bonkers! Monty Python sketches, Terry Pratchett books, video games, zombies, fanzines and pretty much anything weird and wonderful!

 

Some jewellery is designed to sit subtly around your neck or twinkle delicately from your earlobes; plus some clothing just blends into the background. All well and good, but there are times when you need to be loud, proud and ever so brilliantly bonkers. For those times, look no further than the quirky collection from Lynsey Luu.

This is what our picture should have looked like..... This was taken at a business breakfast a couple of months ago- fair to say I can't quite remember what the meeting entailed as I spent most of the morning staring at my plate. This was our actual pancake day pancake...

 Katy Perry has always been very open about who she backs as US president, and it's fair to say she is proud to be an American.

On Saturday Katy Perry fulfilled her patriotic duty once again as she headlined the Kids' Inaugural Concert in Washington. Dressed in a star spangled banner themed 50's Pin-up style costume, the singer rocked the stage in front of the famous First Family in honour of the children of military families nationwide. - The Daily Mail Online.

Spring 'Rule' Breakers

Last week we talked about Disney Characters going bad, this week we prep you for Disney girls gone wild, with the introduction of the Spring Breakers scene and poster clips.

This new movie due to be released very soon (June UK) is going to change your opinion of many of the little disney scarlets in this 'Spring Break' based 'Girls gone bad movie. Sex, drugs and rock and roll all feature and headline the films topic.

As you can already tell it's a feisty film about boys, toys and guns. The costumes are mainly bikinis, swimwear and flip flops. Typical beach attire.

The films styling is fun and fabulous, bringing girly grunge to the forefront of teen and youth celeb lead trends and aspirational beach fashion, beach loose lips hair and skimpy low cut bikinis showing a lot of flesh and a serious need for factor 50.
