Style

Our style section was introduced to the site when we had our new site in October, and it's fair to say we were chuffed and were convinced that it would work better. We were wrong.

I'm now majorly questioning my choice of styles. I think it was a three o clock in the morning jobby 'Preppy' preppy was just never going to work, and is completely the opposite of what we are.

Different , alternative, unique, that is where we're at. With urban, street wear thrown in, get at us if you want an indie look or style.

It's fair to say preppy has been thrown out the window. *wipes brow*

After massive, mahuusive and verging ludicrous explanation in 2012 we're looking to expand our collection and really have our alternative cake and eat it.

So there really is something for everyone on our alternative site and when we say everyone we mean in the underground, alternative ,open minded, dark fashion world  CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL.

Brakeburn is a new innovative streetwear brand conceived in 2011 by a team of likeminded individuals whose passion for street culture, cycling and board sports, inspired them to create and share a vision that embodies all of their interests. In collaboration with artists they use designs which capture the spirit of fun and adventure; it’s about enjoying the journey and being there with your friends.


 

The Brakeburn range consists of men’s and women’s apparel, footwear and accessories. Clothing includes graphic T-shirts, denims, shorts, board shorts, wovens, fleece, soft shell, outerwear, headwear, and accessories. Brakeburn footwear comprises a completely new and original take on athletic, super lightweight EVA,vulcanised and outdoor styles. Brakeburn is a fantastic collection that really has created apparel and footwear that embodies the surf and street culture way of life.

   

 Their logo, photos and models are free and easy, much like the brands mindset. Providing new, strong accent pieces to the athletic male and surf sure female.

Similar brands lack the strong prints and statement colours that Brakeburn have embraced and have boldly placed into their first public collection. The use of artist, Ruth Jackson’s statement ice cream print has simply made the women’s collection, the print is available on t-shirts and bags. Orange tabs are seen on part of the men’s collection as well as lining many of the prints. The high quality of the collection, once again reinforces the brands strong product design and quality ethics. 100% cotton is used within both collections which encompasses the longevity of the pieces. The design of the footwear collection showcases the talents of british designers.

Watch out for the ‘Brakeburn’ vans around the UK and for the collection online and instores just in time for summer, sun and surfing.

Miley Cyrus, is a perfect example of rocking the rebellious attitude, the newly blonde beauty is stomping the grunge look. Rocking her new pixie hair  cut and turning alternative and  rock chic looks into 2013.

We can't wait to get some dark and edgy revamp jewellery into our 'Jewellery' section on 31B Store.com that will sit hand in hand with our quirky and gothic tees and tops. 

Visually diverse,  mixing biker and grunge above, Miley is a fan of creepers too.

Creepers can tip a bit of punk into a girly outfit. 

Creepers are so rockabilly it's unreal.

LOW STOCK ALERT! 

A while ago we bought in some fantastic end of line Iron Fist stock, all the old favorites that you all wanted including, tonight we die, society suicide and Mugsy Bugs. 

It's now approaching the end of an era for the Iron Fist womens mugsy bugs bra hook back tee.  

As t- shirts go this alternative ladies top capture our affections for its attention to detail, the cutsie bows, and bra hooks along the back, it's sweet turned up short sleeve detail.

The front print is typical Iron Fist, reds and pinks in an oriental women inspired alternative pattern. 

We now only have a few tops remaining,in S, M, L  including XL and XXL sizings. 

Iron Fist Glamour

Iron Fist adds to its own twist to 50s glamour for some of its pieces in the S/S 13 collection. With a bold, block colour pop colour palette and pastel-based prints infused with rebellious attitude. The other comprises three lines - Havana Affair, Pretty Tough and Party Animal. Which all have different aspects that grabs attention throughout each collection. One focus is tropical prints, vintage prints and party vibes respectively. 

Party Animal theme is followed on from the "American Party Girl" theme for Summer 2012. 

As an american trend led brand many of the summer pieces are lightweight and fresh, designed for hot weather let’s just hope that we get some nice hot and sunny weather in the UK this summer so we can parade about in this flamboyant collection or clothing, shoes and accessories.

Urban Board Action Streetwear

We aim to be the best UK Urban, board sport, action and streetwear stores in the UK.
  Not going to lie, but we’re pretty good. 


With the introduction of board sports and action ranges this season, it bridges the gap for casual apparel and everyday wearability for our customers. Surf, Skate and Streetwear ranges have broad apparel and will continue to be on trend throughout 2013.

   

 Neon, Block colouring and Colour pops are going to explode this year in the women’s surf section of the website. Action sports fashion will start to become more prominent edging its way into more hyped mainstream fashion focus.

As urban music and culture are the main drivers for many you people’s fashion choices, the style, ethos and ethics of the brand will be hole heartedly showcased through our online blogs,vlogs, showcases and product videos which will continue to develop and include independent artists and other indie music developers and creators. Such as our good friend James O'Hare.

 

For our contemporary, laid back casual customer, action sports will be seen as another possible option for trying something new, mixing styles or for a same season wardrobe change.
